You're saying he's cherry picking because GT5 does exceptionally well in EMEAA in comparison to the competition, but that's exactly the point he's trying to make.
Now michael-5 pointing out numerous games ethomaz overlooked is an understandable complaint. :P

You could technically say anything is cherry picking because no 2 comparisions are 100% fair. If you want to know what are the best selling games in EMEAA, what ethomaz did is completly fine.
However using this data and comparing GT5's success compared to games which are more popular in other regions (e.g. Call of Duty, Halo), that's not fair. This is what NotStan is pointing out because although GT5 is a killer in EMEAA, it's still nowhere nearly as big as CoD.
i.e. Just because GT5 is as strong as CoD in it's stronges region, doesn't mean it's overall sales will come close to Black Ops overall.

I think you're missing his point. He's not trying to say that Gran Turismo is as big as Call of Duty in EMEAA, he's trying to say that Gran Turismo is really fucking big in EMEAA. The only way to do that would be to list it among other games released in the region.
Look at his initial post. It inlcudes the line:
"GT5 is amonster in EMEAA"
He says nothing about Call of Duty, Halo, or any other franchise in particular, outside of including them in his list, a list that is crucial in backing up the above statement.

Oh I get ethomaz's point and intention. It's a fair comparision. I'm only saying NotStan is taking the data as a comparision of how big of a franchise GT5 is alltogether. This is why NotStan brought up the concern.
It would be cool to see a WW list this gen for 15 weeks. I think I'll make one when WW figures come in.
