I guess the first steps are to do a brief survey of Spawn Island's surface, then tour certain underground facilities to see how big an obstacle they pose, then make an exploratory cut along the planned route under Spawn Island to make sure that space is "available". 

The tunnel is planned to be 3 high and 5 wide, material to be determined but stone would be the easiest since it's going to be preexisting in many places.  It would be nice to have much of the tunnel at seafloor level to give people something to look at but I don't know whether that will work out.  Although it occurs to me that there's no rule that says the whole loop as to be at the same elevation...

[edit:  hooking up the route exits to the destinations is going to be a bitch, but that's true for any subway IMO so right now I'm thinking we'll just cross that bridge when I come to it.  Better suggestions are welcome.]


it will be a pain to join systems, i will say i have revised my plan just a bit, no tunnel will be cut to the west. a northern tunnel will be cut after i finnish the southern tunnel and the eastern tunnel, branches off the main tunnels will service each house if they want them,

i will also stay at bed rock level,  sea level is quite a bit above that. if your worried about blobs, build above layer 16. ive only had issues in patch 1.2, and in 1.3 near joes where lighting is still and issue
