| amp316 said: @ darth To be fair, I never used the create tool in LBP and haven't played the second at all. All I can say is that I didn't care for the "feel" of the platforming in the first game and prefered NSMB Wii by a wide margin. Also, user generated content isn't a big deal to me. I prefer it when skilled developers create the levels that I'm playing instead of amateurs. That's just me though. I have to say that I'm a liitle surprised that you rate DKC Returns higher than either game considering your love for LBP. It really is a testament to how phenomenal DKCR really is. This is why I have to take that SPECIAL organization down. |
I know what you mean by feel, I didn't mind it too much.
The deal with user generated content at least in LBP2 is that a lot of it is really better than the devs one. And now there's sites like LBP Planet that highlight levels, and the interface itself has Media Molecule Picks...so you no longer need to sieve through poor levels. I don't like the create tools either, but many user created levels are awesome now.
I am surprised I liked DKCR so much too. But you know when something amazes you and you get susprised and then it keeps amazing you in new ways as you keep playing, DKCR is doing that. Each world has at least 2 levels that make me go, damn, HOW did they think up of that, it was so fun, thrilling and felt fresh!! And getting that feeling makes it an unforgettable experience (far moreso than LBP1/2). At this point I would say DKCR is in my top 5 fav games of this gen and I haven't even finished it yet, I mean its torn me away from GT5 (you know how hyped I was got GT5!!!).
