my school has a liscence to their engine and ill tell you that out of alll the engines me and my friend work with at school ill say that unreal is difficult and it just does alot of unecessary things like when we try to import our character models we have to go through way to much when an engine like unity has the ability to just drop the model into the program. but if you take the time to learn it its great from what some seniors up here have done.
