N64 easily, although it remains IMO the poorest Nintendo home console for games (jury is still out on Wii of course). There are a smattering of great games for N64, but ultimately even games like Mario 64 and Zelda:OOT let me down compared to their predecessors. If you thought that was blasphemy, let me also add that I like Mario Kart 64 better than Super Mario Kart. Lesser-known N64 games like Goemon's Great Adventure, Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon, NBA Hangtime and Gauntlet Legends are really its strength for me.

Of course, the competition in the era of the N64 was extremely poor. Saturn has some great games but unfortunately too few of them since it died so soon. Still, give me Guardian Heroes, Shining Force III and the like over the Playstation's pathetic heap of junk any day. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night is a masterpiece and a few other games are definitely worth playing on your PS2, but I found most highly rated Playstation games to be extremely poor (Crash Bandicoot, Gran Turismo, Tekken, etc. among them).

I do agree with the guy who said this was the "dark age" of gaming. IMO it was the poorest generation to date.
