Because I could. And Grey sounded boring thus the most boring possibility of pokemon came to mind.

Really I should have gone with Pokemon grey - where all you can catch is magikarp that you must grind for eternity.

There is no Magikarp in the new games...

 

And Immortal, I think EVERYONE would play that game
