Again, people don't care about sales. Games are what is missing. Sales won't matter anymore since 3rd parties have completely or almost completely ceased supporting the platform with good games. Nintendo can't develop as many games as are needed for a console to have a good library. You are misunderstaning here what the real problem is. Sales is just a consequence of the lack of support. Support and quantity/quality of games will only go down from now on. 3DS will also be to blame, but HD consoles already are the platforms of choice for 3rd party publishers.
