In Japan and EU PS3 has been a big competition to the Wii in the past year.

I consider PS3 and Xbox 360's sales to be a major reason for their amazing third party support, without one I think the other wouldn't have as many great games. Its cool to think of it like that too!

Why do people think this?

Sony owns the most movie studio's out of everyone and had  a strong consortium of Blu-ray only people.

While the HD-DVD alliance was only filled with people paid to not leave.

HD-DVD would of NEVER won because none of the Sony owned movie studios would of released their libraries on HD-DVD.

But it made sense to say it, but after you said all that no.
