Oh I just had a guess:
| Console | Weekly (change) | Total | |
|---|---|---|---|
| DS | 651,190 | (-59%) | 143,963,783 |
| Wii | 615,632 | (-61%) | 83,659,784 |
| PS3 | 555,932 | (-40%) | 46,345,856 |
| X360 | 472,788 | (-58%) | 50,388,641 |
| PSP | 322,635 | (-42%) | 65,386,575 |
| PS2 | 157,311 | (-41%) | 141,658,359 |
| Total | 2,775,488 | (-54%) |
This was by the end of 2010, Microsoft shipped 50.8m consoles and Sony 47.92. According to VGC 410k were on shelves for the X360, and 1.57m for the PS3.
Now think about one single and important thing, shipment figures for the first quarter of the year. What if Sony ships the same amount as Microsoft again? (with the shortages issues solved for Microsof).
See what I mean? :)
