*See Wii #s*

Oh boy...

Nah, Wii will see a price cut, and get crazy sales this fall with Zelda as well, and maybe a limited edition green Wii.

However until E3, I think the HD consoles will continually outsell the Wii, PS3 will need a few weeks to surpass Wii in Americas, but it wll happen. 360 should also be above Wii soon in EMEAA.

What happens if the PS3 and X360 gets a price cut aswell? (which is very likely to happen this year).

I think a Wii pricecut will be more beneficial to the Wii then an HD price cut to the HD systems.

But the last Wii price cut didn't do a whole lot for it and it even had a lot of big games during the holidays and yet it was still down YOY. Especially right now when the HD consoles are doing so well a pice cut would really push it over the Wii. I mean the Wii is already cheap  compared to the HD consoles, which would you think people are going to be more exicted for  to be cheaper the Wii ($200), PS3 ($300 - $400) or X360 ($200 - $300)?

Yea, but a $150 Wii would still be a cool secondary console. I doubt software is the problem, Nintendo has enough studios to easily make more Wii's. Also If you allign Wii and PS2 sales, you will see Wii has been outselling PS2 every year by 3 million or so. This year, PS2 got a price cut and it's sales jumped to 18 million. So assuming Wii gets a price cut, I think at worst it should match last years 20 million sales. Even with a price cut, I don't see PS3 or 360 toping 15 million, maybe 14 million, but thats the best.

Also the year Wii got a price cut last, wasn't that Wii's strongest year?
