I'm not entirely comfortable with this reasoning.  Just because many people think something doesn't make it correct.

You can read that as "when three or four other people and myself have independently become suspicious of ABC, I feel more confident that we're on to something" (than if one or two people thought so and managed to convince enough people to lynch). 

And obviously opinion doesn't determine fact, but there's not a lot of fact to go around in Mafia. 

Ok.  I just didn't really see where you were independently suspicious of ABC.  It was probably earlier in the thread.
