I think they want to focus on 3DS now. Nintendo now knows when Wii sells, the holidays. They will try to capitalize on the holidays as huuuuuuuuuuge sales in the holidays can make up for mediocre sales during the rest of the year.

Every console sells the most during the holidays, don't make it sound like it is Wii-exclusive. It is stupid and Iwata knows that (he said in an interview) depending solely on holiday sales won't get them anywhere.

They all do, but a huge massive holiday relative to how Wii does rest of the year...you can't deny it. Wii was 2nd or 3rd and then in the holidays (mid november onwards I think) it suddenly shot up and stayed at the top.
