all that matters is what the MASSES buy

hddvd is likely to be sub-100 in the next year or so; that is a price point that will get mass sales

if bluray remains at 3-400, then it will not win

btw, hddvd has higher attach rates than blu-ray

but again, none of that matters

all that matters is which format gets to <100 so that consumers don't have to pay much extra for the hd player over the normal dvd player

 being that the odds are really against HD-DVD, a sub $100 player means nothing without the backing of most major film companies.
