Can we give this song a rest? We are a rowdy bunch. It goes both ways. You are allowed to say whatever you want here. Even fellow posters calling each other trolls is not us asking that someone be banned. We like a good intelligent conversation and opinions that are backed up with more than "I don't like kiddie" games.
Nintendo is not for everyone....surprise. I like the fact that the graphics are cartoony....I like lots of color in my games (part of the reason I am interested in Viva Pinata/Little Big Planet). I don't like shooters, typically....it's just not my style. But I'm not going to make a dozen topics about how all the 360 has is shooters. I'll buy that system if I want to play those kind of games, but I won't deny that those games fulfill a certain need for that style of gamer.
I just don't understand why people think the console wars are about what system is best. That couldn't be further from the truth. The bottom line is that one console usually captures the imagination of the consumer early on. After that console has a sizable lead it is just a matter of shelf space. Did you ever notice how small the GC/XBOX shelf space were compared to the PS2's? And the funny thing? There were probably better games on the GC/XBOX shelves than the PS2 shelf (Go browsing through a PS2 used bin one of these days).
So...to the OP....if you bought a Wii and are dissatisfied with the quality of game son it....sell it. You'll get your money back, promise. But don't feel the need to complain about the lack of good games on the system. Every Nintendo fan I know has TOO MANY games to play. That tells me Nintendo is doing something right.
