Doing that would be a really bad strategy.
E3 2012, at the eatliest.
Give 3DS a time to shine all alone, after a while they could announce the next console.
Is nonsense spliting efforts in two new hardwares, it's wiser release one and stabilish it, than release another one.
After all, even being from the same company, those 2 will be competing in sales.
