That doesn't stop everyone else from giving a suggested price when they launch new products. We also know that the Wii is 199 euros. The 3DS? ... Just by giving a price in euros, we could all go out and gauge what the price would be. If they had said it cost 249 euros, I could figure out that it would be between the 4GB and 250GB Xbox 360 for example, but instead Nintendo is saying "We have a surprise for you! So much of a surprise in fact that we won't tell, you'll have to try and figure it out yourselves!"
But it is true that it will of course be in range of what we have seen in Japan and the US, but it is none the less poor conduct to leave everyone hanging like that.
