It seems many people would go back to a franchise's roots if they were allowed control over it.

It goes to show, thar people seem to like conservatism in game design when it comes to sequels. Small innovations over new ones, etc. However, sequels that don't expand the universe and don't bring new content also seem to be unpopular.

For example, it blew my mind that Tails could lift the player in Sonic 3, and that small change led to very interresting gameplay. Same with the Insta-shield, if you knew how to use it, you could do really cool moves with it. But in a game like say, Command & Conquer 4, all the changes ended up ruining one of my favourite franchises of all time even more.

People seem to like totally new gameplay the best when it's in a totally new game.

Just an interresting observation.

I LOVE ICELAND!
