Sales of the Wii are still going strong, Nintendo is (probably) planning to release new hardware in the next 24 months and it is quite possible that they have something new and exciting with that. Or in other words, from Reggie’s perspective Kinect is far too late to have much of an impact on the Wii; and is (potentially) soon going to be eclipsed by what Nintendo is working on.
