- You're a major douche to everyone around you that doesn't smoke (This is why, as soon as someone starts to smoke at a busstop where I am, I start to violently fake-cough and walk away, because the smell makes it unbearable for me to be there)

actually, that makes YOU a major douche. :P

When I smoke at a bus-stop I always smoke downwind and away from other people, and when people do what you describe I find it extremely annoying. I don't tell you how to live your life, and I do my best with what I'm given, but there's always someone out there who thinks it's their job to tell me how to live mine.

Not all people smoke downwind...

It's hard to do. Wind directions change. Inevitably people start waiting downwind of you. Just the other day I was a t a train stop a good 10 feet away from the next person holding the cig out and to the side and blowing out and up. I wasn't even near where the train doors stop. Of course, a family comes over right where I'm standing, and so I move into the tracks (above ground train) so that I'm at least 5 feet away from them, and then I see the mom wrinkle her face and start waving her hand around. It's like you know what? You're fucking neurotic.

It's like that. You just shouldn't do something so rude in response to someone smoking. Go up to them and ask them to move downwind, or simply *sigh* quietly and walk away. Public outbursts make people look more like mental patients than anything else.

I know people are probably assholes to you, and they probably stand inside the waiting area where there is no wind. I'm just speaking from experience. I hate people that are out to make it seem like I just gave them cancer. It just gives me more reason to inconvenience them next time. Like, "oh yeah, let's see how you feel about it when I'm a foot away from you".

You make a good point.

Usually though, I'm talking about the people who smoke inside the windsheds and waiting areas like you said. I can't stand when they do that. I'm okay with people smoking a few metres away.

I LOVE ICELAND!
