Well, I'm sure that alot of people here now know when NA's, EMEAA's and Japan's weekly numbers are uploaded (approximately), and it generally goes this way, EMEAA then NA and finally Japan, eventhough sometimes it doesn't happen for X reasons and ioi is human after all. =D
What I want to talk about here is about adding a bar for each area, in a small info window to the website (at least to VGChartz, not the whole VGC if overall presentation have to be changed) with some color rules.
- A first color, let's say "grey", when nothing is ready to be uploaded, it would also mean that the data currently displayed is from last week.
- Another color (let's say "orange") if the upload is approx in the next 24 hours or the current day (may not be that important).
- A new color (let's say "red") when the data upload is really close (like 1/2 hours before).
- Finally the color would be "green" if the area it's linked to is uploaded, when each bar become green (which means everything is there) the color would go back to grey the next day, until next week numbers.
I thought about that because I'm losing alot of time checking here for weekly numbers and I think i'm not the only one. Obviously people who don't care for weekly sales, are for sure not interested in this. If any of you have another idea say it. And if it asks too much effort then forget about this idea admins. (it may also reduce website views x)). :P
So what do you guys think?
