Anyhow, 2007 was the best year for newcomers.  Amp316 joined that year and that guy is fantastic.  Too bad that he doesn't post as much as he used to.

It's weird to think this though. After all, if you think about it, isn't this the year when VGChartz split into 3? I didn't like it at first, and maybe that's the reason a lot of people left...

Yes, it is the year that VGChartz was made into a hub.  I think that is one of the factors why many people left.  That and the fact that it looks like Facebook. 

I personally liked the last layout the best, but the new look and feel to the site isn't isn't what's made me visit it less.  I just think that overall, the discussions haven't been as enjoyable.  People just seem to be taking things way too seriously and I prefer things to be fun. 

Perhaps, it was actually your thread about whether or not you should get Tri which persuaded me to join the site in the first place...

However, maybe its because people are fretting too much about the sales figures now, and detracting from just having a general laugh. That and the fact there have been a LOT of good games released, and a lot of hot-headed newcomers this year, and you get a young, vocal minority who ruin the site for everyone.
