Twilight and Hannah Montana and Justin Bieber sell bucketloads, I guess it must be the best there is in entertainment today! Sales are a poor measure of quality, being able to get people to spend money on a product is no amaing feat, just look at TV shop sales to get an idea of just how stupid consumers can be.

This whole "it has sold a lot and thus must be very good" has to end. Mind you, I'm not saying that NSMBWii or Mario Kart Wii are bad games, I think they're both incredible but as a rule, sales are a really poor indicator of quality.

People buy Hannah Montana and Justin Bieber games (there isn't a J.B. game. Or there is? O.o) because they like the idea, they like to be Hannah Montana or etc. That's why gaming most important part isn't gameplay, because gameplay is just the way you are going to interact with the world. The most important part is the content, and even if it has a crappy gameplay some people might buy just based on what the game is about.

Above: still the best game of the year.
