DS is now the biggest hw base ever in Japan - it passed GB this week. So to sell over 100k still for holidays is a minor miracle. PSP is up. Wii / PS3 / X360 / PS2 have all lost momentum. Kinect and Move flopped, there is no Final Fantasy XIII, no NSMB Wii. All existing systems look like they have peaked in Japan. PS3's performance right now is trending between 2008 and 2007 in Japan for December (60,000 Dec 16 2007 week, 38,000 Dec 20, 2008 week).Both years PS3 got to about 65,000 in its peak Dec-Jan week.
PS3 should increase for another week or two though before falling off. DS / Wii will increase one more time, drop a bit the following week, then fall off. X360 / PS2 just don't matter in Japan anymore, and PSP has already had its best week ever because of MHP3.
