What are your 'John Lucas' predictions for the new year?

- Devil May Cry 4 (PS3) will outsell Devil May Cry 4 (x360) worldwide
- Microsoft will FINALLY get their shit together and start putting out x360s without inherent hardware issues.
- You will see x360 games that REQUIRE a hard drive. A price drop for the 20gb hard drive is very likely.
- After Smash Bros & Mario Kart, 3rd parties will try to fill the software void. A Wii Sports clone with some new gimmick (balance board?) and online play will surface.
- Sony will finally connect all the dots with it's original intent to make the PSP & PS3 interconnected media powerhouses.
- Killzone 2 will be impressive but be cursed by the mediocrity of the original.
- By Holidays 2008, Blu-ray will reign supreme as the vastly dominant HD format. More people will buy a PS3 for blu-ray playback and Sony will be scrambling this year to get all the pieces in place to present the ps3 as *THE* machine for media & gaming enthusiasts for the holidays. However, BRD will still account for a small portion of movie sales.

 

this one is a long shot, but what the hell

- a backup/import solution will be released for the wii that requires no modchip and will offer direct boot of all backups/imports with some exploit using a SD card or flash cable. This will have a dramatic effect on software sales due to it's ease of use and rampantness. Think dreamcast..
