Seems very simple (simple as in simple platforming/puzzles, which is never a bad thing), and darn I do love that art style.
Glad they enjoyed Epic Mickey though.

It seems you really like Epic Mickey. I'm planning to buy it soon, when I have my BHBo (Big Holiday Blow out) 
How is it? Don't need to be biased towards the game, It's already pretty high-up on my list.. I just want to know what to expect 'bout the game. And do you know if Sonic colors (Wii) is any good?
And I'm also looking for lost in the shadows. Like you said, it looks like a good, simple, straight foward game but it seems it holds a lot of fun. Can't wait to try it

Epic Mickey is great sans the camera and the lack of invincibility after you take damage (in pretty much any game, enemy hurts you -> you fall into spike pit = you only take damage from initial attack if you move off the spikes quick enough. Here both will hurt you, and if you don't move like hell, the spikes keep hurting you)
My only other gripe with that game is that in a couple instances it becomes a very transparent barter quest (a la Biggoron's sword in OoT)
Otherwise it's tremendous
Colors is very good as well. I'm currently working to get all the Red Rings in the game, because it supposedly has a very compelling final reward
