But weren't all of those franchises made before this gen?(excluding Galaxy) I would count sports mix as another mario sports title and new super mario bros, as...well super mario bros. Nintendo does seem to be lacking in creating creative new "hardcore" ips this gen, although I believe Miyamoto(please forgive me if I mispelled his name) claimed to be working on a new series. Its kind of hard to be upset though seeing as most of Nintendo made games are of the highest quality this gen regardless the genre or protaganist.
