i just read the thread about wii on pace to outsell the ps2 and what not. im glad its doing well, but even though it probably will outsell the ps2 that doesnt necessarily sold better. the global population is increasing everyday, so that means theres more wider range of gamers from which to choose. so right now theres roughly 80 million wii's sold out roughly 6.88 billion people. so thats meants less than .0116% of the people in the world own a wii. now ps2 reached this mark back in 2005. there was 6.47 billlion people then so this means .0123 % of people owned a ps2. so yes wii is set to sell more consoles, but that doesnt mean it necessarily is doing better.
