No, he's given up on "predicting" the industry and pretending to know everything and focuses on boring e-mails about games he can bitch about or praise and posts old videogame music. His blue ocean rants and anti-HD propaganda has gone up in smoke as things have turned away from his preferences. Good riddance, the guy is a complete tool and extremely full of himself, thinking he's smarter than all analysts, developers and the entire industry because he read a business book. His rants are still long but have even less substance and he still refuses anyone to comment on his articles, probably better to have only e-mail responses so he can handpick the less eloquent and classy critics and appear superior.

Edit; he has one cheap shot at Kinect, the Gel Ride video followed by "I love Kinect, its just so bad." The man is actually personally offended by the sales and existence of an electronic gadget. He's worse than Bruceongames...

haha, love the Malstrom hate. Just means he is hitting some hardcore gamers' nerves, and hitting a little too close to home so to speak. This guy is a breath of fresh air in a sea of stupidity and ignorance among gaming "journalists," who all say 99% the same things.

If these mainstream journalists actually had some intelligent things to say and didn't shut out and ailenate a large portion of the gaming (and non gaming) audience, Malstrom would never have gained the massive following he currently has, so maybe you should hate on the rest of the gaming media instead of him.

No thank you, I choose to "hate on" the most bloated ego the web has ever seen and a man who has proven his lack of insight time and time again and alltogether stopped posting about his previous favourite subjects after having made a fool of himself. Malstrom is a moron and a huge narcissist and is perhaps the most clearly biased web personality we have today (that gets any attention, that is). He is nothing but a fanboy who writes above average, imo.

The only reason he's "hitting" my nerves is all the undeserved credit he gets, just like John Lucas he gets away with spewing out crap that he never needs to answer for, even his latest post goes against his earlier ones (World of Warcraft is so good because it gives immersion and one can dream away, all other "hardcore" games are bad becasue they immerse the gamer too much and aren't as suited to "picking up and play"). He is full of contradictions and hot air and has more arrogance and audacity than anyone else I've read online, he's even worse than Pachter.

I'm sorry, the man is full of shit and people are finally starting to see it. I guess you like him simply for his unconstrained hate of the Playstation brand and ditto love for nearly all things Nintendo. Malstrom is the very definition of a populist, there is no way he would have written anything or had any opinions on anything if Nintendo was in third place this gen. If they end up not winning next gen, Malstrom will disappear and fall into the hole he crept out of. His patronizing, self-contradicting and arrogant nature will not be missed.

If you want to hate everyone with opinions differing from his, go ahead. As far as gaming press goes, I don't much listen to them either, they're equally full of shit.

Edit; where is Malstrom's massive following? He seems to have a lot more haters than fans, part of the reason why he doesn't permit comments on his articles. His "fresh air" is actually a long winded fart, only some people ignore the stink because the sound fascinates and soothes them.
