Wii will dominate this gen, MUCH more room to change price before the next gen comes out due to considerably lower production cost and the current profit that is made on each console, whereas the possibility of PS3 price cut is not set in concrete due to the profit made only recently and barely in double figures.
I highly doubt that PS3 will overtake Wii this generation or even when the next one is out.. Whereas it has a shot at overtaking 360. Not sure why people keep saying that the Line up is such an important aspect for 2011, those games will move ~50-100k HW each at the maximum, it's the price cut or better promotions that will define when or if the PS3 will overtake 360, I think that the US i the biggest factor in this equation, the game that did come out that would encourage the move of HW was GT5 and as people saw last week.. There was a statistical tie despite 360 not having any major releases in that time frame.. Now before the people will start shouting "NO MARKETING@!@!@@", There was last week.. Yet the drop off for EMEAA is ~50% and is likely even higher for Japan/America.
