What i miss about classic games(before the online era)

Mario Kart Double Dash did 4 player split screen campaign. Every mode of the game supported 4 player split screen. Pretty sure Onslaught for WiiWare supports it as well. Of course the whole "no system is powerful enough" is a complete red herring. Any console from the PS2 era could have run Goldeneye 64 with full 4 player splitscreen through the whole campaign without a hiccup. Power is not the problem. Design is.

yeah whatever you call "campaign". In racing games it's just a chain of racing events that can be played from the multiplayer menu as well. Pretty much the same thing.

Of course it's theoretically possible, but not when you use modern visuals. Halo Reach, SMG, Gears, Killzone 2, Uncharted etc. CANNOT have a 4 players splitscreen campaign on 360, Wii and PS3. Simply not powerful enough.
