look at just dance 1 numbers

Yeah, but what opponent did just dance have?Exactly, none. When people look at GT5's score, they will see that NFS:HP and Forza 3 have higher reviews, and what will they do,in the most probable case?Choose them over GT5.

That may not make a big difference, but it still has a small impact.

then look at just dance 2 numbers then :P dance central has a higher meta score and was still beaten

Stupid comparison, DC is on a new platform, by the end of this holiday it'll have a 5 million install base to sell to, Just Dance will have 16 times that.

I get your point, but I don´t think user base matters that much. A game can still sell well despite the user base. It has been proven before.

Depends on the franchise and the scale of the previous games numbers. GT4 ect were bought by a lot of casual PS2 users, that have more than likely moved onto Wii or 360. Very few will jump over for an 85 rated sim when they can get 2 90 plus rated ones on 360.

*looks at unbundled Forza sales* doesn't look like too many GT fans moved on to 360.

What are the unbundled Forza sales then?

Forza jumped from 1 mill last gen, to 4 mill this gen. Forza 3 at 3.3 mill with minimal bundling atm. You have no idea how many users it's stolen.

Look at the Forza 2 sales graph. There is a massive spike (roughly 1.8M) in NA due to a christmas time bundle in NA where most 360's came with Forza 2.

Forza 2 was also released onto a bigger userbase and had much more hype than Forza 1. The Forza 2 bundle got people who wouldn't normally buy a racing game into racing games (Forza 2 is a very good game, much better than Forza 3 in my opinion). This is where Forza 3 has got its sales. Not from European GT fans moving to 360. This is clear from GT5 first week sales in Europe.
