Looks like GTA 3 with wooden figures and XIII art direction, no thanks! But by all means; go and buy.

Why did you bother posting? Just to insult the game?

Nah, more to insult nintendo because he's insecue because he's afraid if Nintendo wins the console war convincingly Sony (and possible microsoft) are going to jump on the Wii-mote like controller and he won't have any new games that play on regular controllers.

Which is kind of a silly reason, I mean even the Wii supports classic controls on a number of games.

Wow, you have me all figured out, don't you? No, I just hoped someone would try to fill me in on what makes this game so anticipated. Have you ever read my posts about Nintendo? I've been a Ninty fan since I got the NES for christmas in '89. It all stopped with the Wii however, I think Ninty are a step back this time.

I might even get me a Wii, if only for Mario Kart and Zelda games. But it seems that the rest of the lineup will be really tedious in comparison, which is why I post in these threads to begin with.

And about the controller; I'm not afraid that Sony and MS will jump on the idea, I'm afraid that technological progress in the industry will be shedded over gimmicks instead. I'm sorry my views offend you, maybe you should do like 99% of Vgchartz users and ignore them instead? Works for me.

How does any of that invalidate what i've said? You've said yourself before that you don't like the Wii controller and don't want it to take over your past time, and that your afraid it will change the industry in ways you wouldn't like. I was just pretty much rephrasing posts you made about a half a month ago i'd say if i remember right. I'd dig em up but the search function is disabled, and i hear it sucks anyway.

As for why people are interested in this game... check the humor in the story parts, the stylzation and the interesting design choices some of which stem from the humor.

For example the text is in 80's computerized text and you save by going to the bathroom. Or the ability to stun someone and hit them with a pro wrestling move. (Which if i remember right you learn from tapes, which is reminisent of River City Ransom.)

Also it's basically a spiritual successor to a previous game that had a cult following, these are the types of games that get hyped up by gamers.

That and the reviews seem great so far. It'll probably end up being one of the best games of the generation that doesn't sell.

People compare it to a Tarantino movie.

Basically people want the game because it's going to be very different and bizarre, yet while still offering a lot of traditional play.

If you actually wanted someone to fill you in though you probably would of said something like "fill me in" as opposed to just insulting the game.
