With Halo 3's release date set for September 25th in NA and September 26th for Europe, the scales are tipping in their favor. I would guess a price cut early November for the 360. This would spike hardware sales, and give GTAIV and Halo 3 an extra extra push into the holiday season. If I was Nintendo, I would remove Wii Sports as a pack-in and sell the Wii for 200. If I was Sony ..... I'd try my damnest to make MGS4 be released before the end of the year.
