The game is simply overpriced.   With no Online on Wii it's merely a graphically enhanced Genesis game and not valued at more than $20.   For HD consoles it's even worse, as they were already promised it for A) FREE and then B) $15.  How to you go from $15 to $60-70?  Just for a career mode?  Extremely poor value proposition.

We'll see if these game gets some legs when it gets to the bargain bin.

I hear ya. I personally just don't care enough about the game to want to pay $50 for it. NBA Jam was really fun back in the heyday and still fun now but it's not something that makes you want to rush out and get it ASAP. I tried the Wii version and honestly I felt like it wasn't much of an upgrade from the 16-bit classics (and like I mentioned before, I preferred the Genesis/SNES controls to the Wiimote and Classic Controller controls). I'm not even in a rush to rent it, let alone buy it (this time for 360, already tried the Wii version and dropped it when I found out the 360/PS3 release was going to be a full retail game). And NBA Jam has like zero hype behind it. So it's no surprise that many are waiting for the bargain bins and don't care to play it right away.
