Ratchet & Clank are awesome! Burnout Paradise is awesome! Now that that's out the way...
And I can't really think of any game I don't want to exist. You could argue that that Gears of War should never have existed because it made bulky, ain't-got-character-so-I-put-up-the-ultimate-tough-guy-facade, bald, crouching-behind-chest-high-walls-for-a-living space marines more popular than ever, which is sad. But on the other hand, it's a great game that do a lot of things right and raised the bar for shooting and action in gaming in many ways, so why shouldn't it exist?
The easy answer is to say that games that don't do anything for the industry in terms of pushing it forward somehow shouldn't exist. But a game like that can still be great fun, and there will be people who find value in it, so why be bothered by its existence?
