They'll probably ignore those two in favor of the "hardcore" games. One thing we should note is that, while it seems we all agree that the quality at IGN has been in a steady decline, their traffic has actually been increasing over the years. I suspect much of that has to do with their pandering to teenage boys, so why would they change?
