Back in the day (NES), Dragon Quest / Dragon Warrior was pretty big in the USA, probably 500,000 - 1,000,000 per iteration and the GB games were big too. They were sort of cult classics. Same was true to a lesser extent on SNES. I don't think the DQs from GBA / PS1 onward are undertracked. But you probably have 10m DQ games right there, and I'd guess Square-Enix is including smaller spinoffs that the database may not have at all.
For Final Fantasy, there are PC versions which aren't tracked, and you have the same issue for NES / SNES in the West (although FF didnt really become big in the west until SNES). Tomb Raider always did well on PC too, so I'd figure alot of the sales are there.
People are difficult to govern because they have too much knowledge.
