Another year of the PS3 not outselling the 360 and yet here we are with people talking about it like it matters anymore.

the gap was around 8m last time when PS3 had a pricecut and

 

the gap is 2.9m shipped now and decreasing.

 

it will be lower than this or even if it stays equivalent to this till the next PS3 pricecut

PS3 will outsell 360 easily

 

not if you just want to nullify a valid reason then its your choice

 

and not many debated PS3 would outsell 360 all of those years so keep making up your comments

Bold 1: You're comparing Vgchartz numbers and shipped numbers.

Bold 2: If you'd actually read / participated since 2007 you would know differently.

i wasn't comparing VGC numbers with shipped numbers

 

i just put out shipped numbers as lately the huge adjustments have been going around so i took shipped numbers for a while,they are 1m apart right now though.Shipped gap is aty 2.9 and VGC gap is at 3.9m

and i have been on this site since 2008 start so i know what they have been dabting about

yeah there were debate's about PS3 outselling 360 at 2008 start but after the 360 price-cut happened,people never claimed that PS3 would outsell 360 in 2009,they all had it for late 2010 and 2011.

as the christmas 2008 came near and the gap increased immensely,people predicted it would be 2011 then.

 

yeah a few like always being bias went for the immediate outselling but those are few and were never taken seriously

 

so you adding every year since launch and trying to make it look like a big deal is wrong which i wanted to point out.

Difference now - 3 million shipped, but 3.9 million sold

Looks like you compared shipped to sold figures.

As for old debates, I think Squilliam, didn't you give me a link to a 2007 thread where people predicted the PS3 to outsell the 360 by 2008? I read a lo of funny posts in the thread, I should have book marked it. A lot of people on this website thought 360 was just going to die off at 30 million..LOL

The fact of the matter is there are a lot more PS3 hardcore fans on this site then 360. So people are always going to talk about PS3's "success" and when it will overtake the 360. To put it simply, this probably will just not happen, not even with a price cut to $200 on the PS3. Remember MS is actually making a profit on their 360's, Sony only started doing that recently. MS has a lot more power to price cut, and with Kinect having a 100 million dollar marketing campaign, it's looking grim for PS3.
