No, the doctor doesn't have to lie. The doctor lying is generally a bad thing. Claiming townie is probably one of the dumbest things you can do (tells the scum who not to target especially once everyone claims townie), and claiming any other power role is also dumb as you can get caught lying. It is probably best just to not claim anything other than pro-town. Remember that confusion and lies are the best weapons of scum because they are the only ones with any real knowledge.
Heh, then again I know you like to lie in this game because you subscribe to the philosophy that the ends justifies the means. Unless of course you've changed.
