It's like Capcom and Namco signing on Ninja Theory to make their "next big thing". At least Ninja Theory are somewhat competent.
I really don't get what's going on in the minds of Japanese publishers these days. Nintendo, SCE, and Sega are the only ones that know what they're doing at the moment. Konami as well, to a degree.

Slant 6 had damaged one of the biggest Online titles for the Playstation with there absolute failure with Socom confrontation. Zipper did make the highly successful Socom series for the PS2 but they were focused on MAG and S4 to have an early Socom release for the PS3. So Sony got Slant 6 who made two good PsP socoms and what followed was a butched destroyed socom. I wouldn't say bad.... but they no doubt made the worst console Socom. Their PSP Socom's were good though so who knows... Socom:C was Online only so who knows. This could end up an ok game but I don't have my hopes up.

I would argue any shooter on PSP is inherently not good, but I seem to be one of the few who hold such an opinion.
