The depressing thing is that most of those games are absolute garbage designed to milk children of their pocket money.
Tetris is about the only game that still holds up (sorry Mario fans), and it's creator did not see any of the profits thanks to the Soviets attitude towards intellectual property.
And other sources (i.e. NPD) tend not to include pack-ins for obvious reasons. The list is very misleading regarding the popularity of certain titles, although it wouldn't make much of a difference other than you would see a GTA or two in there.
