*Sound Of Rain said: Very true! America isn't everything but it certainly is big...you have to remember though that right now Others and Japan can make up the gap in America but what happens when that gap gets a lot bigger? Wii and 360 will only go up in America and the gap will get a lot bigger. Also Others and Japan may be PS3 land right now but again Kinect and huge Wii things(Red Wii, D.K.C.R) have yet to be released and that gap in Japan and Others should shrink...All I am saying is that Sony already played almost everything with only G.T.5 left while Microsoft and Nintendo still have a good amount left. I could be wrong but in my opinion the PS3 will be #3 this Holiday for sure but with that said I see PS3 outselling the 360 Worldwide in lifetime sales with 2011 being the starting point of PS3>360 |
No doubt, America is huge when it comes to the Holiday season. And while the 360 and Wii will certainly do much better there than the PS3, the PS3 will still be doing reasonably well. Enough to put up a decent fight Worldwide.
Japan, could go any way. Kirby was expected to boost the Wii. It didn't. Mario Collection was expected to. It didn't. (Move was expected to boost PS3 there... It didn't).
EMEAA, even with Kinect and Red Wii/DKC, we're gonna see big numbers from PS3 there. Possibly the biggest over the Holidays just judging from recent sales.
Just so you know, I also have the PS3 in 3rd place over the last 10 weeks. i think Kinect will just push the 360 past PS3, and the Wii will have the typical holiday boosts it always has (But a far smaller one this year).
