Now I have played it for a bit.
The gameplay is OK, i just wish Sonic wouldn't be so sluggish when accelerationg from zero speed, they should have increased it just a little more so that platforming would play better.
And the muic is not at all like the megadrive tunes. The megadrive didn't try to sound synth-ish, so the newer games shouldn't try either. If they were trying to have the feel of the old music they should have let themselves be inspired by Sonic CD, which is just as much classic Sonic as the other ones and then some.
With that said, it's a really good platformer and a nice return to form for Sonic, and they nailed the look of the game. The ending made me really hyped for the sequel, I really really hope it will take place on Little Planet. I can't wait to battle Metal Sonic again!
