I rarely buy from game nowadays, the last thing I bought was the Zelda Spirit Tracks special edition tin preorder, and that was only because due to a pricing error on the website it was £25 (same as the standard game) instead of £35, which they changed it to within hours of me making the purchase, they never changed my bill though!
I have heard stories of Game selling pre-owned as new, but if the game works fine I would just forget about it and enjoy your game.
