Okamiiden is out, but can it sell 1million WW?

After an encouraging opening in Japan (84,472 units sold) the game dropped like a rock showing no sign of legs. Its current sales are around 100k - 105k, pretty disappointing. Unless a miracle happens Okamiden will be sent to dead in the west.

My projection:

Japan --- 125k (best price edition 70k)

US --- 150k

Europe --- 80k

Worldwide --- 425k

 

I think you've nailed it.  It's just too late in the cycle imo, with too much rampant piracy, much like Okami was on PS2 originally.

Okami should've been switched to Wii originally, and Okamiden to 3DS.  The franchise would've been much healthier for it imo.
