You're quoting Wikipedia. Wikipedia links to an article saying 240 million. That article has no source for the 240 million number.

I'm quoting VGChartz, the site we're on.  A site that has some quite damn good chaps compiling the data for older games, and some great tracking for current sales.

I think I'll trust VGChartz.
