Just something that catched my attention:
| 1 | Call of Duty: Black Ops | X360 | 4 | 97,016 | 1,160,825 |
| 2 | Call of Duty: Black Ops | PS3 | 4 | 42,096 | 617,249 |
Total : 1,778,074
And this what it was like at the same period:
| 1 | Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 | X360 | 4 | 150,279 | 1,143,824 |
| 2 | Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 | PS3 | 4 | 46,209 | 368,882 |
Total : 1,512,706
So there's more pre-oders this year, but it's all thanks to the PS3. The following week of MW2 was like this:
| 1 | Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 | X360 | 3 | 295,004 | 1,438,828 |
| 2 | Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 | PS3 | 3 | 112,003 | 480,885 |
Total : 1,919,713
I don't see Black Ops pre-orders rising up to 300k in a week.
So unless a miracle happens, I think that Activision's forcast of doing better with Black Ops than MW2 is unlikely. But I can be wrong.
