Galaxy 2 sold less than Galaxy one, was not a system seller and sold far, far less than NSMB, that's a flop

Really?  So Nintendo should do nothing to maintain diversity in its library or cater to massive niches within its fanbase?  Sounds like a great business strategy you got there.

Massive Niches, lol, what massive niche was activated by Galaxy?  NSMB Wii got that Niche and more.

Face i, games like Galaxy, Other M and Skyward are wastes , so yeah, my business strategy would have not only resulted in more sales, but would have kept momentum going

ah Nintendo the only publisher on the planet that could possibly be disappointed with sales of 8.91 and 4.06 million for 2 games built on the same engine and sharing assets and a budget significantly lower than just about any AAA HD game...

It's the system seller aspect that counts here, even more than the sales alone.

A game doesn't sell 9 or even 4 million copies without moving some hardware, and to neglect that area of the market completely would be stupid for Nintendo. I mean what would have sold more hardware the 2 Galaxy games or another Wii sports game? The games like the "Wii" titled games still sell well to this day and are still usually  in the top 50 sellers each week and are still selling consoles. Replacing them with more games of the same type doesn't seem like such a good idea especially in the longer term when they can launch titles like that to a greater effect, once sales really start to drop like now, Nintendo are releasing a new party game in the form of Wii party. Pushing games into as many markets as possible is almost always better than just serving the same section of the market with the same types of games over and over again. What Nintendo learnt this generation IMO is that branching out into new areas can pay off big time. And that means pushing out new games of new types on too the Wii. That is not to say that following up wildly successful ideas and franchises is a bad idea, getting old customers to buy new iterations is never a bad thing. Which is why games like Galaxy, other 3D mario games,  Zelda, Super smash bros, Wii party and even other M are worth putting out, as it brings in people that may not have gotten the Wii, and especially wouldn't for another Wii music title.

To say Nintendo is stupid to publish games as successful as galaxy and to say Nintendo should just focus on one type of game and replace current good sellers with new titles rather than branch out is IMO kinda dumb.
