However to be fair, Forza Motorsport 3 was only announced like 5 months before it released. Some of these GT pre-orders are probably years old. I bet you Forza weekly american weekly pre-orders from now on will match, if not surpass GT5 pre-orders. That said I expect GT5 to get 250-275k pre-orders, and have a 500k opening week in Americas, probably 1-1.2 million worldwide.

FAR too low for WW. 500,000 is feasible for Americas, although I personally think it'll do closer to 600,000, but have you forgotten about EU & Japan? 2.2-2.5 mill Week 1, at least.

Your right, I did underestimate EMEAA week one sales there. wrote that comment kind of late.

However I think your overestimating GT5. GT4 sold 770k in Americas week 1 and 2.5 million worldwide. I think GT5 will probably be closer to the 1.5-1.8 million week 1 opening, 2 million at best IMO. Don't see it doing better then 2 million, as I don't see week 1 sales being 4 times as large as Forza 3 week one sales (470k).
