Gears of War 3-Biggest game of 2011?

Gears of War 3 will most likely be the best selling HD exclusive. Sony isn't making any big new IP's and I really doubt games like Killzone 3 will triple their sales in the new installment. Uncharted 3 has the outside chance, but with both prior installments selling 3-4 million, I doubt it.

Then again, MS has the habit of announcing something BIG at E3. Forza 3 and Gears 2 were announced the year of release, and ODST wasn't far from that.

I'm not even considering Sony will put out something that successful. Its not often IPs go from modest sales to mega seller. They would have to put out a big new IP for that to happen.

Zelda will likely be a big seller long term. It has the potential to outsell Gears 3 long term, it won't happen in 2011.

I agree with you about sony thats why I first said they aren't releasing new IP's, and then joked about old IP sales jumping lol.

Well I guess so far then Gears of War 3 will be the biggest exclusive for 2011, assuming Zelda sales don't flourish in 2011, which they probably won't. However MS and Nintendo can still announce something big. MS is an unlikely canidate, unless Cryteks Kingdoms really kicks ass. However a Wii --- (Relax, Party 2, Fit 3, Sports Extreme, etc), would most likely topple Gears 3 sales if released at a reasonable time.
